Jacobus and Melanie: Beach Cruisers and Sand Bars

San Pedro, Belize

Every elopement is special, and we feel so honored to be a part of each couple’s special day! Melanie and Job were no exception, and we had a blast at their “un-Belizeable” celebration.

We love when couples incorporate their hobbies and interests into their wedding, it not only makes the ceremony unique, but brings extra memories to their special day.  Melanie let me know how much they loved beach cruisers...so we made sure the hotel had plenty on hand, and brought along custom labels to tie on the bikes. The couple originally wanted to get married on a dock with their bikes, but Hurricane had other plans for their day. Although the hurricane hit about a month before their ceremony, most of the docks on San Pedro were destroyed and not yet rebuilt. Instead of the dock we offered to take the couple to the sand bar. They were so excited when we reached the location, how could you not love a tiny piece of sand surrounded entirely by the Caribbean Sea!

After emotional vows, and lots of sunset pictures we headed back to the mainland for cupcake cutting and champagne. Melanie and Job wanted to take some shots near the water, and before we knew it they jumped in! The perfect ending to a perfect day!
