Elegant Inner City Wedding With Historic Charm: Christy & Brent

Belize City, Belize

Prepare to get swept away by some effortlessly elegant mid-city romance. Christy and Brent tied the knot in a magnificent Colonial estate brimming with historic charm. The Great House Inn is located in the Fort Saint George Area, a cultural neighbourhood filled with old world architecture. We couldn’t help but obsess over all the gorgeous textures and details that breathed new life into the room. From grand mahogany tables to spiralling staircases, the antique structural design of the Inn’s interior paired flawlessly with our vision of a modern-chic aesthetic.

Christy truly took everyone’s breath away as her dress cascaded down the porcelain-white staircase. She rocked a mermaid-style gown with an open back and sheer floral embroidery, with a diamond floral hair piece that held together her long, wavy curls. Our local florist arranged a lush bouquet of crisp pines, cranberries and vanilla blooms that complimented her ensemble beautifully. Christy’s bridesmaids wore jet black gowns, creating a classic black and white colour contrast that took us back to basics in the best way possible. Brent rocked a sleek black tux, and the two of them together were a match made in heaven.

From fairy lights, candlelight, bubbling champagne flutes, and golden trims, we were able to compliment the estate with a modern, luxurious feel. The tables were adorned with an exotic arrangement of tropical leaves, including the monstera, palmetto, and sage palm. After the heartfelt I do’s and a dance-floor waltz swayed by smooth saxophone rhythms, friends toasted and dined and danced the night away. The decadent evening slowly gave way to a dance floor lit up with vibrant colours, groovy beats, and psychedelic L-O-V-E wall art. It was the perfect time and place to celebrate the bottomless gift of love and joy. Congratulations to the stunning newlyweds!
