Michaele & Andrew: Quaint Garden Wedding

San Pedro, Belize

From the very beginning there was a radiance about Michaele and Andrew that was hard to describe. They are young, fun, and full of love. Michaele wanted to go beyond the typical beach wedding, and opted for a quaint space inside one of her favorite restaurants. The outside patio overlooked the sea, and was nestled inside a natural island garden. Twinkle lights were wrapped in trees, and tables were scattered around various plants growing right inside the space.

On the morning of the wedding, a calm vibe filled the air in the bridal suite, and Michaele enjoyed getting ready with her closest friends. Once the bride was ready, she opted for a first look on a unique bridge behind the ceremony venue. The anticipation was noticeable on the groom’s face as she slowly walked up behind them. To this date, the first look was one of our favorites.

After the couple had some moments to themselves, we sat guests for the ceremony. As Michaele put it the day was “Perfectly imperfect”, and the ominous rain clouds slowly crept up on the guests. Although the ceremony couldn’t be completed outdoors, the couple still enjoyed a kiss under the palapa bar, and guests enjoyed a variety of special drinks and appetizers.

Due to the weather, the reception had to be moved under cover, but the guests enjoyed the intimate space with romantic lighting. Luckily, the weather began to clear…and the couple was able to enjoy dancing under the stars. A huge congrats to the lucky couple, and don’t forget…rain on your wedding is good luck!
