Victoria and Peter: Relaxing Island Wedding

Caye Caulker, Belize

One word: Stress-free. When I first spoke with Victoria she emphasized that she was worried about a destination wedding because of some of the stresses she has seen friends and family go through, and didn’t want the same experience.

We worked closely with her and the groom to make sure the entire experience was easy….and dare we even say fun!

With a rustic and simplistic style and so many details you would swoon, we loved the planning of this laid back Caye Caulker wedding from start to finish.

The couple was far from traditional, and opted for a pre-wedding BBQ at their pool followed by the slicing of wedding ice-cream cake. We won’t lie, the daunting task of an ice cream cake on a beach was scary. But with the fantastic help from Molly at the Ice Cream shop, we were able to make their wish come true.

When the sun began to set, the guests assembled at the back on the house on a beach overlooking the sea, with a simple arch covered in beautiful white flowers and greens. After the “I-Do” the group gathered on the dock to watch the sunset and enjoy homemade Belizean truffles and champagne.

A golf cart convoy took the guests to a local restaurant that was rented for the night. Lots of candles, intimate light, and lots of little details greeted the party. They danced the night away to Valentino and his rock band…and ended the night with custom drinks made by the owner.
