Melissa and Michael

It started on a beautiful Saturday morning on the breathtaking island of San Pedro. We had gotten up at 8 am and started to make our way to the reception venue at Victoria House, it was an intimate set up for 5. We were given a cabana that rested on top of the Caribbean sea, and quickly made work of transforming it into the vision that our bride and groom had envisioned. It was an elegant table setting with lush centerpieces, with designer foliage and delicate white flowers and votives that adorned the table for 5. Once executed and happily satisfied we bid adieu to the people at Victoria House, and made our way to meet our happy couple.

We arrived at Pelican Reef Villas Resort, and knocked on Room 6, our bride Melissa greeted us with excitement and a smile that only a bride could have. We got to meet Melissa and Michael for the first time since their planning process for their weddings had started, they were very excited to go to the sandbar and make it all official. At 2:30 we all loaded into the private boat we had chartered to take us to the sandbar, it was a 20 minute boat ride to their “I DO”. The bride and groom where elated for the entire ride, however one guest was feeling totally different, the rough sea and the dark clouds that covered the bright sun in the morning had caused her some concern, but the moment we arrived and she got into the crystal clear waters for the Caribbean, all the concerns and worries were washed away with the tides.

The ceremony was beautiful, the lighting was perfect, the guests were having a blast, but most importantly, the bride and groom were happy. Once the ceremony was done, they popped some champagne and ate some cake which was followed by their photoshoot, which everyone took part in. After all the formalities were done, we started to make our way back to the resort, where the bride and groom and the entire party were blessed by some cool rain showers. They say that it is a blessing when it rains on your wedding day, well lets just say they got a heap load of blessings that day and they loved every moment of it.

Once dried and changed they made their way to Victoria house where they had made reservations for their dinner, in the cozy little cabana that we had set up for them. When the couple arrived and took their first look at their reception, they were speechless, it was everything that they wanted and more, it was absolutely perfect, and the exact way how they wanted to end their wedding day. As the day drew to a close, we said our goodbyes to them all and wished them the very best as their started their new lives together.
