Aditi and Chris: Multi-Cultural Beach Wedding

Hopkins, Belize

There is always something so special and unique when you blend two cultures together. When you get to do this in a church on the beach, and on the beach for the Indian  ceremony it makes things even more amazing. Chris and Aditi were so easy to work with from the beginning, and wanted to blend their cultures while also incorporating Belizean cultures into their wedding. The first night began with a traditional henna ceremony on the beach, complete with samosas and and a bonfire!

The day of the wedding, the sun was shining, and guests started getting ready for an early ceremony at the local catholic church. A golf-cart procession was lead by the groom down the dirt road to the church, which had the most scenic views of the Caribbean Sea. After the ceremony, the couple headed back to the Villas for some R&R, and changing of clothing for the Indian ceremony. While the group was getting ready, family members prepared the space, and helped us ensure everything was set-up properly. We loved learning about the traditions of the region, and learning about their culture. With narration by family members, guests were guided through the ceremony.

After the ceremony concluded, guests were treated to Inspired Belizean Cuisine by Chef Sean Kuylen as well as traditional Indian cuisine prepared by some local Indian chefs. The Signature staff kept the drinks flowing at the bar, and the DJ kept everyone dancing. The evening concluded with a group jump into the pool followed by lots of laughs and amazing memories.
