Surprise Wedding and Maya Ruin Shaman Blessing

Xunantunich, Belize

Heather and Greg are one for the books! Heather decided that she wanted to not only propose to Greg in Belize, but also plan a surprise wedding at the Maya Ruins of Xunantunich. We were all game for her plan and were so excited to be part of this unique experience. We helped Heather plan a ‘tour’ to the Maya Ruins… little did Greg know she had secretly packed his suit and her stunning red dress. She snuck the gear into the back of the van and the two of them boarded their private tour for the ruins.

Meanwhile, our team prepared the wedding details before they arrived. We worked with the tour company to arrive at the ferry at the same time where we all boarded…Greg still not knowing the plan. As the ferry crossed the river, Heather got on one knee and our photographer was there to capture the magic. Heather then revealed the plan to a shocked, but excited Greg and the team sprang into action.

Heather wanted a cultural ceremony complete with a Mayan Shaman blessing, and beautiful flute and guitar music. She wore a stunning red dress and looked spectacular against the ancient ruins. The couple shared a sacred ceremony, followed by a photo shoot around the property.
