Terri & Patrick: Rain Forest Nuptials

Mountain Pine Ridge

This unique wedding is one for the books! It all began when two former college sweethearts crossed paths once again, and rekindle their old flame. When it was time to tie the knot, they wanted something unique and extremely personal.

We think we perfectly hit the mark with a romantic jungle wedding, complete with fog and flowing waterfalls! The day began with a few Bloody Mary’s at the bar, and then Terri escaping to her bridal suite for hair and make-up. Patrick, on the other hand, did some 4-wheeling with Rachael to look for the perfect ceremony space. After a few muddy feet, and some slipping and sliding, he found the perfect spot for his “I-do’s”.

Once Terri was ready (and looking absolutely stunning we must say) it was time to head out to the spot. We took two trucks (one with Terri and the photographer, the other with Patrick and the Justice of the peace) and headed out into the jungle.

With fog billowing over the hills, and beautiful tropical flowers in hand, Terri carefully walked down a path to meet her handsome groom on a waterfall lookout point. With a few showers in the background, the couple said their vows, and signed their official paperwork.

After the ceremony, they decided to tour the property and take lots of photos. The day was wet, and spots of mud were spotted on Terri’s dress. Instead of getting upset….she thought it was the perfect time for an impromptu ‘trash-the-dress’ at sunset in the lake!

Lots of laughs later, the couple made their way back to the lodge for a romantic dinner, cake cutting, and champagne toast.
